Louis J. Arquilla left our earthly world and transitioned to Heaven peacefully, on Sunday evening, August 9, 2026, at the age of 87.

Louis was born on October 11, 1938, in Youngstown, the son of Louis Sr. and Lena (Carano) Arquilla.

Lou grew up in a large and loving family and graduated from Youngstown East High School.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

Lou married his wife, the former Mary Jane Galluppi, on May 2, 1964 and they spent 56 years together, raising a loving family of their own. Mary Jane preceded him in death on August 12, 2020.

Lou was an extremely hard-working man and built a 42-year career at Packard Electric. All his working life was dedicated to supporting his family.

In his younger years, he was a member of the Cameo Club and the ITAM Club and was always very proud of his American Italian heritage. Most of all, Lou was at his happiest when he was spending time with his family and extended family.

Louis was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

Louis will always be lovingly remembered by his children, Dianne (David) Schifferli and Joseph (Chadney Duncan-Pauley) Arquilla; his grandchildren, Marisa Schifferli and Ian Pauley; his two brothers, Ronald and Richard Arquilla and many loving nieces and nephews.

Lou’s life was marked by his dedication, his quiet resilience, his amazing work ethic and his unwavering love for his family. He created many happy memories with his family and friends, too many to mention here.

A 10:00 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John-Michael Lavelle, on Monday, August 17, 2026, at St. Michael Parish, 300 North Broad Street in Canfield.

There are no calling hours.

Family and friends are encouraged to offer prayers for the family by visiting the Book of Memories at www.rossifunerals.com.
