Michael Farragher, 74, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at a Galveston, Texas, Hospice facility after a summer of battling numerous health issues.
Michael was born on June 2, 1952, in Youngstown to Firmin Farragher and the former Mary K. Dougherty.
“Big Mike” loved cooking and sharing food with family and friends, a good nap, golfing and was active with the Sebring Country Club. Michael and Inge, his wife of 52 years, moved to Galveston Island, Texas, in 2016 to be closer to their children who lived there. He quickly adjusted to the Gulf Coast lifestyle of eating fresh seafood, sitting on the deck enjoying the Gulf breezes and checking what the temperature was in Ohio during the winter.
Michael is survived by his wife, Inge Schwederski Farragher, whom he married on October 16, 1973; his daughter, Mary (Stefan) Ruoss; son, Matthew Farragher and his sister, Margaret “Peggy” Farragher of Orlando, Florida.
Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate their memories of “Big Mike” at a Celebration of Life planned for Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m., at Cassese’s MVR in downtown Youngstown, OH.

Robert W. Bondi, 73, of New Castle, passed away on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026.
Born on Dec. 4, 1952, in Youngstown, Robert was the son of the late Louis and Mary Klanica Bondi.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Priscilla, whom he married on April 16, 1977. Together, they built a life centered on family, love and lasting memories.
A true engineer at heart, Robert was a deep thinker who was always curious about how things worked. He approached life with an analytical mind and a thoughtful nature.
He worked as an engineer for Michael Baker International for many years before retiring.
Robert was a member of Holy Spirit Parish.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether tending to his yard and garden or going fishing. He especially enjoyed walking along the beach when he had the opportunity to travel to Florida. He appreciated the simple pleasures in life and the time spent doing the things he loved.
Above all, Robert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His greatest joy was his family. He treasured watching his children and grandchildren grow, celebrating their milestones and being part of their lives. The time he spent with those he loved meant the most to him, and his family will forever cherish the memories they shared and the love he gave them.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his three children, Nicolette Bondi, Christy Bondi and Robert Bondi; his daughter-in-law, Dominique Bondi; his sister, Mary Ann Bozdog; brother-in-law, James Bozdog; and his two beloved grandchildren, Pierce and Luca Bondi.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. at Holy Spirit Parish-St. Camillus Church. Father Benjamin Barr will officiate.
